THE LETTERS

Dear Dicky,
You have been very naughty! I just so happened to be listening to the Camp Freddy show this
weekend when you popped in and had a smoke! A glowwith happiness at hearing your voice,
but so crushed when you bummed a smoke. I hope you haven't started again, or some of us are
going to have to come down there and spank you! I, a smoker for 20 years give or take, just
quit about a month and a half ago and there's not a day thatgoes by that I don't think about it, but, inspirations like yourself have kept me going.
I unfortunately missed the show this a.m. due to a raging hangover and much needed sleep so I didn'thear if you mentioned anything but, I'm hoping someone else gave you shit as well!

On a lighter note, I am so stoked about the Madness show I may actually burst into flames! Hope to see you there....not smoking!!! -G

THE SHOW
My MightyMorningShow daily blog/list has been down and not running lately. Well, I've been posting erratically, sporadically, and certainly not very effectively, and I'm well aware of that. There are a number of reasons for that, and we could probably start with;
given the choice between procrastinating and coming up with a number of reason why I'm procrastinating, or sitting down and getting
to work, I seldom opt. for the latter. Alexis has a part in a play now. She helped me move this process along. Stacey has picked up
the slack but she already wears a thousand different hats at the show. We could use a decent intern (who couldn't) Wyatt the Web Dud
e has been building our new site so he had no problem with me slacking and letting the MMS blog/list slide. Anyhow, I'm shooting for
a daily show synopsis, to appear no later then a day or so after the show itself (good luck to me)

THE GUESTS
Here are some guests we've had on the show in the past week or so John Popper and Chandler Kinchla from Blues Traveler came in last Monday and were an absolute delight to have on the show. They played "The Hook" and "Run Around" for us. It was terrific.
Christopher Knight (Peter Brady) Adrianne Curry (the first America's Top Model) both from a new show My Fair Brady dropped by again. Dee Snyder (Twisted Sister) paid us a visit.
Jason Schroder from Incognito Tattoo in Pasadena tattooed Go Betty Go roadie Shawn "Shroadie" Lizama. Speaking of Go Betty Go they were on the day their new "joint" "dropped" What a great sounding record. Doug Benson was on with us.
Hes writing Ellen's Emmy jokes for her as I sit and write this nonsense good luck to him on that. Big time movie actor Bill Pullman came by and we talked about the film "Dear Wendy" he just made. The host of E's "the Soup" Joel McHale was with us one morning.
The man they call Mr. Trombone Rico Rodriguez. The Specials song "A Message to You Rudy" would not be what it was without this man. Rico was on our show Friday and so was Shadoe Stevens, who shocked the MightyMorningShow listeners with his Indie Rock wisdom. We are somewhat up to speed now

Dickie, Many thanks to you and your station for finally bringing some decent
(great, actually) radio to a city that claims to be the entertainment
capital of the world. I've been enjoying rock and roll for many years.
And yes I'm even older than you are. Your morning show really gets it -
meaning that you understand it's still about the music. That said,
the banter with your crew is often too funny. You are all much smarter
than you would have us think. As I walk down Montana Ave., here in
Santa Monica each morning, the latte slurping yuppies probably think me
odd for laughing out loud while I stroll by with the headphones on (fuck 'em).
I also think Liz has the patience of a saint.
Those that love music have to dig a station that will play Dionne Warwick
and Lou Reed back to back. Please keep up the good work
(including all the good things you and the station crew have
done for the victims of hurricane Katrina).

Cheers, Michael W. (in Santa Monica)

I just want to say I think you all there at
the Mighty Morning Show deserve
and award for being great.
Your show, and all of you on it, regularly brightens my day.
You are a refreshing bunch of intelligent sensitive
people with great humor and conscience.
Keep up the excellent work. You are truly appreciated
out here in the listening world!!

Jocelyn. (Los Angeles)

Dickie You Suck!!! You don't know crap about music.
Your Bosstones were shit. You guys sucked at playing
ska, punk, hardcore -- everything you tried. And how
many times did you faggots gangbang that little dancer
of yours. F you, F Boston, and F the Red Sox. All those
people lost their lives and everything they had because
of Katrina down in LA and MI. It should of taken out
New England too! Go Yankees! The Red Sox Nation
is the gayest thing I've ever heard.

And you have been so nice when I've called (once) and e-mailed (once) you.
Thank you for being a gentleman, a professional and just a bit of a scoundrel.

THE LETTER
Who does, and what is the name of that song you just played that sings, "My name is Love". That song seems so appropriate for what is happening in the gulf coast and the outpouring of love that is happening from people all over this country.
