The Show

The show was a bit tricky with performing band complete with tiny amplifiers as well as a snare kit arriving when the tattoo had not yet been completed. Other than that, everyone was fun to have around. We spent time discussing the firing of Danny Bonaduce, one time member of the Partridge Family, more recently a morning DJ on another local radio station. We gave away Pat Benetar tickets and one of the ticket winners gave his ticket to the woman being tattooed. I was probably a little harsh on "War of the Worlds". I called it a turd which might not have been the best or most accurate adjective. I was disappointed by the film to say the least.

The Guests

Lisa Harjo wrote us a heart-wrenching letter about the very rare
disease she has and suffers from. Only 30 people alive have this disease. She said she loved the show and she also loves NASCAR and wanted to get a Tony Stewart "smoke" logo on her arm so we moved things around and called the people at Rubes Tattoo Parlor in Arcadia and the very talented Adam Portillo came by and did the inking. He was accompanied by the Rubes' "jack of all trade" Mr. Rockfish, who's been on the show like four other times and is always fun to have around. The cast of So Alone, which is what Chuck termed a playsical
(combination play and musical), arrived and set up to do some songs. So Alone is the story of Johnny Thunders and was written by William Mittler (go to www.stagesentertainment.com for information). The two covers they performed, "Born to Lose" and "Chinese Rock", sounded quite authentic to me.
