Alternative != amateurism
Amidst all of this, the saddest things is that the people in control in Indie appear to think that Independent , alternative music means sloppy, crappy amateurism.
Listening to cretins like TK pretend to stumble over adverts ( you know dumbass either man up and say the swear word or edit it out completely ) you realise they hated the audience they had that made them noticed. TK is the epitome of the people they want. Pretend punks thinking they are, what they are not. The station was called "cool" because of the authentic music; Clash/Pixies/Ramones/Adolescents/Crowd/Husker Du etc. they played, not the KROQ/KIIS-Lite that is now on heavy rotation. Any band that aspires to Indie 103.1 is a pale,pathetic under-achiever trying to claim credibility from the bands that got the station notice. Losers !
( N.B. I had the largest number of pageviews yesterday and lavoice.org is seeing the same )

The bastards wouldn't pick up the phone this morning. I was calling in to request Cashing In from Minor Threat or We're In from Youth Brigade. I thought the themes about selling out appropriate for Indie's new moves and "rotation" format.
What are the chances we'll ever hear those songs over the public airwaves again?

They had another guest host who has a series starting to night.
I am glad I am not the only on who feels this way about TK. His show is nausating. We call him (my teenage son thought this one up) the Punk Ryan Seacrest.
I just want you to know that my teenager told me most of his friends have stoped listening to the station.
