NB This is NOT official , only a copy of Dicky's/Liz's writing.

I just had to turn on comment verification as comment spam was starting to come in.
Hopefully as comments are limited it will not be a pain

Stuart, it's easy to make up a throwaway ID. Why not let people post as they please and then, if you have to, delete anonymous smears, be they anon or signed by a throwaway ID?

Just to address the smear straight on. I would not be shocked if there was a bit of Roy Batty in him. Part of what makes him great is venom. I don't remember him saying Morrisey is overplayed, but asking for us to call in and tell him if we think he's overplayed. He didn't say T&S were overplayed, only that a friend called him to say he could always count on hearing T&S during his show. Really first rate insults. Maybe there is a dark side to that. Anyway it's for sure that he has ticked some people off, at least one of whom keeps coming back here to smear him.

That we still talk about the show months after it's been off the air, even the anon smear guy, is a testament to Dickie's talent. Why not let smear guy pay tribute in his own way?

I've caught Joe's show a couple of times. He's played some good songs I've never heard anyplace else but 1031. And he's not the disaster the other guys were. But it's quite a letdown. And he doesn't give the station ID as much as Dickie did.

Yeah you're right . I was just tired of dealing with the crap.
But at least let me make people make up an id if they are that smart.

I had never heard the Bosstones back in the day so after the chat with Stuart yesterday I bought, without reading the reviews, 20th Century Masters and there are some great songs. I'll have to pick up more. Thanks for the idea Smearman!

Now the trolls are gone, there is nobody talking at all. It was one year. It was amazingly crazy. It was about punk rock. It was about first grade homework. It was making fun of Tiegan and Sarah, and it was Tiegan and Sarah.

Dickie, drop us a line and we can take you on a Central Coast wine tour. We've been doing those for long before that movie. And Dickie I've talked to a PD who complains you would be too expensive. Can it really be true that Dickie, by himself, prevents DJ's anywhere from caring about music and being human at the same time? Can one underemployed guy in Monrovia price out the entire market? Can I ask you to please send your resume to kzbt, fm949,sd.com?

I for one believed all the anonymous slams Stuart hated so much about throwing chairs and scaring Liz. Yeah, like everyone believed Dickie was an even tempered ordinary Joe. Dickie, ego te absolvo. And love to Liz as well.

You too Stuart. If you are ever in Oceanside, we can show you the good spots.

For everyone, KCRW.org has an amazing internet feed, and their broadcast over 89.9 in LA/OC from 0900-1200 is wonderful. Of course, it's not Dickie. You will never laugh, you will never hear Elvis Costello, you will never ... Well that's over ad you can just forget it.

Thanks for keeping the faith Stuart. I'm out. Catch you in Legoland, or Valhalla, or wherever. We lost.

I wanted to comment on the Hometown Throwdown, but I couldn't figure out how to comment on that story. As a Boston native, I can say that the Throwdown is one of the best shows of the year, and I am extremely bummed that I won't be able to make it home this year for the show. Had I known it was making a comeback, I might have tried a little harder to make it home for Christmas this year. Guess I'll just have to listen to "Sure Don't Feel Like Christmastime" by myself at home. And like, all of you I was a huge Mighty Morning show fan, and keep waiting for Dicky to get a show on XM or Sirius, and then I'll get a subscription to one of those services so I can happily listen to the gravelly voice of one of the best DJ's of our time. With that said, I was always pissed that Dicky didn't play more Bosstones songs. Guess he wasn't that self-congratulatory which is respectable, but C'mon! I love the Bosstones too, man!
